DENIA
The most northern town of this region is Dénia, which is located on the coast halfway between Alicante and Valencia, so can be reached from both international airports of both cities.
The distance to Alicante airport is 104 km and 113km to Valencia airport. It is also a harbor city from which daily ferries go to Ibiza and other Balearic Islands, so whenever you feel like having a party weekend, Ibiza is 2,5 hours away by sea. The cost of return ticket starts from 60€.
Denia is also known for 15 km of coastal line with a variety of sandy beaches and coves. Whether you want to have a peaceful beach day with your family, do snorkeling or diving, water sports, surfing or just have a fine dinner by the sea,
Déniahas it all. What is more, one of the most famous places of attraction of this town is the Castle of Dénia. It is the symbol of the city and was also declared a “Monument of Cultural Interest” by Spanish Government.
The fortress was built in the 11thcentury, at the top of which you can enjoy magnificent views onto the historical part of the town as well as the Montgó massif. If you are a hiking lover, then the natural reserve of Montgó massif will definitely have your attention. The park has various paths to be explored.
