LA MANGA

La Manga del Mar Menor is an extraordinary area located on the split or so-called Sandbar between Mar Menor and Mediterranean Sea. It is a very narrow strip only 100 metres wide and 20 km long , on which you will find a lot of residential building and private villas together with bars and restaurants. It is a typical summer beach party spot and a perfect place for all water sport lovers.  Murcia International airport is situated in 57 km and Alicante airport is in 122 km. 

This area is a major sports base of the region with surfing, kite surfing and wind surfing schools available. It is also very easy to get around by bicycle and walking since La Manga is absolutely flat.

You can take a lovely walk to the lighthouse Cabo de Palos, from which you will enjoy stunning views onto the surround area.  It is a very touristic area that´s why it is very packed during summer and quite empty during winter season. The famous beaches of La Manga are Playa de Pedrucho, Playa  El Arenal, Playa de Poniente, Playa de Levante and Playa del Barco Perdido. In the southern part of La Manga you can find lots of coves, which are perfect for snorkelling. 

Playa Honda is another famous place located outside La Manga on Mar Menor coast. It is a rather new area that is fastly developing and from which you can enjoy amazing views onto La Manga strip. 

This area attracts a lot of people for being so unusual, that is why many people purchase touristic apartments in La Manga for the purpose of renting them out. Only in 10 km you will find a beautiful golf course – La Manga Club, which also offers other leisure and wellness activities.
